No Punch for M&B April 19th, 2008

Punch Taverns has ended talks with Mitchells & Butler (M&B) over a possible takeover.  Punch did leave the door open slightly last month as it hinted that it would be interested in acquiring M&B in a joint bid with another interested party.

Despite the ‘no’ this week, Punch is not ruling out re-entering the ring further down the line should situations change at M&B. It sounds like Punch doesn’t really know what they want.
