Unpopularity of Gas price increases led Centrica to be the biggest faller on the FTSE on Friday, down 9p to 305p. However it's doing what it needs to in the current market and so should be in a good position to deliver decent returns to shareholders over the next quarter.

Probably because they are the first to announce large increases. Once the others follow, Centrica will be forgotten about.
