 Options are given to employees of company's as a medium term incentive that lets them share in the successes of the company. The option price will be set at an amount equal to or below the current share price on a specified date. The employee must then meet the criteria of the scheme, such as remain in the employ of the company for the duration of the scheme, before the options can then be exercised.
